Mixed affective disorder - anyone else out there?

I've been diagnosed with "mixed affective disorder" which my psychiatrist describes as being "on the bipolar spectrum".
There doesn't seem to be a lot of information on it out there and I was just wondering if anyone else has heard of it, or been diagnosed?
