Anxiety worse during illness

Does anyone find their anxiety is worse when they are physically ill? I'm just getting over a bout of flu and found my anxiety a lot worse.

It would make sense actually as you probably worry more + your body needs more energy to beat both the anxiety and the flu!!

I am sure it does make it worse, being low with an illness like flu can only make our anxiety worse.
